The nail art tutorial below is for the single white flowers nail design on the thumb of the above set. Before you begin, don’t forget to prepare your nail surface before you begin with a DIY nail cleanser!

Instructions
Step 1
- Apply base coat and cure
- Apply clear mixing gel over full nail and cure. This step is optional but can be used to create a thicker and more stable nail to work with.
Step 2
- Using the long liner bursh, create a thin curved line in the middle of the nail. Add some smaller lines extending from this main line to create the stems of the flowers.
- Cure.
Step 3
- Using a short liner create petals around each stem by pressing the brush more firmly from the outside of the petal and more lightly as you move towards the inner portion of the petal. Create multiple petals that do not touch each other.
- Cure.
- Create a more dimensional floral arrangement by adding additional petals on top of the cured petals. Lightly blend in yellow points in the middle of each flower.
- Cure.
Step 4
- Apply shiny top coat.
- Cure.
Tips & Tricks
Floral designs are some of the most common nail designs out there and require different techniques depending on the size and shape of the flowers and of the nail design. This tutorial would focus on recreating the flowers with the small white petals in the image below.
Maintaining a transparent background on the nail along with layering of petals in the artwork, results in nail art that gives out a sense of multi-dimensional flowers floating on glass. The size of the petals in the nail art needs to be small to show a full stem of flowers. This means that the details on the petal, filament and even leaves would not be required. In short, the nail art just needs to show the essence of the flowers and not so much the details of it. That’s why using a loose dotting technique with a short liner brush can work for this particular nail design.
